Online Learning

Enhance your career on your schedule with our asynchronous online programs. And you can expect the same quality education that our residential students experience—high quality, engaging courses taught by highly experienced and respected faculty.

100% Online* Programs

By enrolling in an online degree or certificate program within the School of Education, you will be entering a program that is designed to fit your lifestyle. Offering maximum flexibility, our online programs are taught asynchronously—and at great tuition rates! Esteemed IU Bloomington faculty oversee the Bloomington-specific programs, and this is the same faculty that you’d work with in our on-campus, residential programs.

*The M.S.Ed. in Adult Education program requires a 3-day in-person course.

100% Online* Collaborative Programs

As a student in one of our online collaborative programs, you will take courses asynchronously, taught by nationally recognized faculty across participating IU campuses. In collaboration with one another, campuses will cycle through hosting online courses each term for these programs. While you will be enrolling in coursework taught by multiple campuses, your faculty advisor will be assigned by your home campus (IU Bloomington).

*The Certificate in Alcohol and Drug Counseling program requires some in-person class work.

The online master's program worked perfectly for me. I felt connected to the instructors and other students, and it was this sense of community that made a huge difference in my education.

Jeanne L. Rieger CST, M.S.Ed. in Adult Education
