Student teaching placements are made in the city of Hamburg, located in northern Germany. Placements are made in collaboration with Universitat Hamburg.

Costs and Scholarships
Global Gateway for Teachers cannot provide exact cost information since costs will vary throughout the year and from one individual to the next. Please note that all estimates are listed in U.S. Dollars. Keep in mind that foreign currency exchange rates will affect the value of the U.S. Dollar and hence your budget.
There are a number of scholarships available for IU Bloomington students who participate in Global Gateway, some up to $4000.
- Tuition and fees: Most IU Bloomington students will cover this cost with their regular tuition, though some exceptions may apply.
- Registration Fee: $325 (non-refundable)
