CAEP Annual Reporting Measures

CAEP Annual Reporting Measures

In the state of Indiana, to be able to recommend students for any form of education license, the School is required to be accredited by the professional association, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). As a part of CAEP's ongoing review of the School, it monitors four (4) Accountability measures. Data with respect to these measures are presented below*:

Impact Measures

The 2021-2022 Indiana Department of Education data reflect that a higher percentage of our graduates, as compared to statewide, are rated effective by their principals for those completing their first and third years of teaching. For those in their second year of teaching, the percentage of our graduates rated highly effective is greater than overall state percentage.

As a part of the Indiana Department of Education Annual Report to educator preparation programs (EPP), principal surveys of new teachers’ preparation are included. For 2021-2022, 86 principals provided data about our graduates. 85 of the principals were satisfied or very satisfied with the training of their Indiana University Bloomington graduates.

Note: 2020-2021 data not available to date

From our annual First Destinations Survey, conducted in collaboration with other schools on campus, the results indicate that 93% of our graduates are employed full-time.
