Alumni

Alumni involvement is critical to the success of the IU School of Education. With an alumni body nearly 70,000 strong, the school has the power to advance education around the world by improving teaching, learning, and human development. Your gifts of time, advocacy, and financial support truly make a difference for the future of all professional educators.

As we prepare the next generation of educations, we need your continued help to recruit outstanding students to IU and the profession, promote student teaching opportunities in Indiana, Chicago, and all over the world through our Cultural Immersion Program, support innovative research, programs, and scholarships that give future teachers the best preparation possible, and participate in our collaboration and outreach activities.

Why we need you

For over 100 years, the Indiana University School of Education has been a leader in preparing the education professionals who mold our children, strengthen our communities, and lead our nation’s great colleges and universities.

Today, the demands on our nation’s education system are greater than ever. As budgets tighten, state support shrinks, and expectations soar, the need for strong, informed, and credible leadership becomes critical to advancing education in the 21st century.

As a premier program both in preparing education leaders and in providing quality research to frame education policy, the school has an obligation to provide this needed leadership by expanding its reach and raising its expectations. Equipped with the additional resources only donor and alumni support can provide, the school’s faculty, staff, and students stand ready to accept this challenge.

With your continued support, today’s IU School of Education can advance education, and indeed our society, in the 21st century and beyond. All we need is you.
