Associate Instructor in the Global Gateway for Teachers

Job summary: Work collaboratively with two other associate instructors and two directors in teaching, evaluating, and providing feedback (including substantial grading responsibilities) and supports to students in the Global Gateway for Teachers Programs (which includes preparation for, and placements in, 20 countries worldwide, Chicago Public Schools, and the Navajo Nation). We anticipate that teaching will be both face- to-face and online in 2021-22. Additional duties include assisting with curriculum development, participating in weekly staff meetings, helping with publicity and recruitment efforts, and maintaining close communication with participating students, including guest students from partnering Indiana campuses.
Required qualifications: We are seeking a doctoral student in the School of Education with substantive international and/or intercultural professional immersion experience (with a preference for teaching experience). Strong written and oral communication skills are a must. Experience with Canvas is a plus.
Compensation: Minimum stipend of $16,566.00 (paid out in 10 installments over Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters), health insurance, and 20 credits of fee remission (up to 12 per semester).
