Factor Future Educator Program Student Testimonials

Being part of the FFE Program made me hopeful about life after high school. I loved everything the program offered. From experiencing college life to meeting students with similar interests! All of the current IU students and faculty were extremely helpful. Not only did they share their experiences about being educators, but they also described what our future experiences could look like. I miss the program a lot, and it’s also the reason I will be applying to Bloomington!

The Factor Future Educator Program was an incredible experience. My favorite part was living on campus for a week, attending classes and activities, and meeting new people who quickly became friends. The program showed me how much I want to work in education, not just as a teacher, but in any role where I can help others, like a counselor. Meeting IU students and faculty made everything feel real and inspiring, and staying in the dorms gave me a taste of college life. If you're thinking about applying, I recommend going for it. The program pushes you out of your comfort zone, helps you grow, and leaves you motivated to pursue your goals.

My favorite part of the IU Future Educator Conference was the friendships I made with students from all over Indiana. It was amazing to connect with people who share the same passion for teaching and education. The experience opened my eyes to all the different facets of being an educator—things I had never really thought about before. I learned that teaching is more challenging than it might first appear, but I also discovered the strong support systems that teachers can rely on throughout their careers.

Hearing stories and advice from IU faculty and current education majors was both inspiring and informative. It gave me a real sense of what to expect as a future teacher and confirmed that this is the path I want to follow. Even though I was nervous about being away from home for a whole week, I’m so glad I took the leap. It turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had.
