Student teaching placements are typically made in the English counties of Hampshire, Oxfordshire, West Sussex, and possibly others. Students typically live in homestay accommodations.

Costs and Scholarships
Global Gateway for Teachers cannot provide exact cost information since costs will vary throughout the year and from one individual to the next. Please note that all estimates are listed in U.S. Dollars. Keep in mind that foreign currency exchange rates will affect the value of the U.S. Dollar and hence your budget.
There are a number of scholarships available for IU Bloomington students who participate in Global Gateway, some up to $4000.
- Tuition and fees: Most IU Bloomington students will cover this cost with their regular tuition, though some exceptions may apply.
- Registration Fee: $350 (non-refundable)
- Program Medical Insurance: $100
- Visa Processing Fees: $1200+

Teaching Responsibilities
In most cases, student teachers will teach in their own licensing area (e.g., elementary education, secondary math, etc.). Further, it may be possible to fulfill practicum requirements in England for the following license additions: ESL/ENL, Reading, JH/MS, Computers, and possibly others.

The language of instruction is English.
