Cordelia Driussi taught English to university students in Fukuyama in Fall 2018. Global Gateway for Teachers cannot provide exact cost information since costs will vary throughout the year and from one individual to the next. Most student teachers will teach conversational and written English. Further, it may be possible to fulfill practicum requirements in Japan for the ESL/ENL license addition.
Proficiency in Japanese is not required, but participants are encouraged to learn basic words and phrases before they leave for their placement. Participation is not limited to students pursuing the ESL/ENL license addition.
