Students currently enrolled in a teacher education major will apply to the Teacher Education Program (TEP) during their sophomore or junior year, depending on their specific program of study. Admission to TEP is required to progress into upper-level professional education coursework, commonly referred to as Blocks. While enrolled in the Blocks, students complete discipline-specific courses in teaching methods and engage in supervised classroom experiences to prepare them for professional teaching practice.
