As we celebrate 100 years of the IU School of Education, we also must look ahead and consider the changing landscape of education and the evolving needs of our students, faculty and staff. To continue to be a leader in the field of education, we must be strategic in our approach and make sure we are positioning ourselves to meet the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Our strategic plans, developed by the Long Range Planning Committee and Diversity Committee, reviewed by faculty during their annual retreat in February 2023 and voted on and approved by Policy Council in April 2023, will guide our efforts over the next five years and help us to continue to be a leader in the field of education. The plan lays out our vision in the areas of research, service and student success. It is also in alignment with IU’s strategic plan.
The future of the education world will be full of challenges. We look forward to meeting these challenges head-on.
