Counseling

Few careers offer the opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life nearly every day. Counseling is one of them.

As a counselor, you’ll work directly with individuals, couples, and families as they seek solutions to the challenges of everyday life. Our flexible program allows you to choose your area of emphasis, from school counseling to substance abuse and other mental health issues.

You’ll receive a solid foundation in a wide range of theoretical approaches by some of the leading researchers in the field.

Our curriculum follows the scientist-practitioner model, where research informs your clinical practice, and your classroom experiences inform your theoretical understanding of the field. In addition to course work, you’ll pursue independent research and gain real-world experience in a clinical setting.

Our graduates hold top positions in education, health care, private practice, corrections, community health services, and in business and industry.
