M.S.Ed. in Art Education

Experienced teachers and professional artists who want to become art teachers can develop their skills and knowledge through the M.S. in Art Education program. This degree prepares you to teach art at all grade levels. It also provides the educational foundation to pursue a career as a museum or community arts professional.

In this 36-credit hour program, you’ll learn about curriculum theory and development, multimedia technologies, art education history and literature, art education outside the traditional classroom environment, and art instruction for atypical student populations. Classes are held in late afternoon and evening and during the summer to accommodate the schedules of working professionals.
