I heard about the School of Education diversity initiatives at the IU job fair my freshman year.

When did you begin working with diversity programs in the School of Education?
I began working with the diversity programs in the School of Education my freshman year. I was given the opportunity to work very closely with many programs through the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

What do you like most about working in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion? What do you find challenging in the work?
Working in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is a great opportunity for me to grow as an individual and incite change in my community, starting with my college community. A challenge I find in the work is underestimating my ability to complete the tasks given to me.

What have you learned working in School of Education diversity programs? How do you believe working in diversity will impact your career goals?
Working in the School of Education diversity programs has taught me how to plan events and problem solve. Working in diversity has helped me gain experience and confidence in my career goal to become a teacher.
