I specialize in emotional and behavioral disorders. My current research includes transition to and from correctional confinement. I emphasize positive behavioral interventions and supports in my teacher preparation courses. I work with colleagues in different academic disciplines and countries to study the school to prison pipeline. I am the executive director of HOPE, a mentoring program for incarcerated youth.
