Music Education

Learning to understand and enjoy music builds a vast array of skills that benefits every student. While most music students do not go on to become professional performers, the experience of learning an instrument, performing in a band or choir, and enjoying the challenges and camaraderie as part of these experiences in school, make music education very rewarding.

Indiana University’s music education program is administered through the world-famous Jacobs School of Music.
