IST ranked #1 online master’s program

Instructional Systems Technology was ranked number one in the latest (2022) U.S. News and World Report Best Online Master’s in Education program rankings. Three other programs were also highly ranked, with the IU School of Education nationally ranked overall at #28, a jump of 14 spots compared to last year.

Special Education and Educational Leadership and Policy Studies were both ranked fifth, respectively, while Curriculum and Instruction was ranked 12th.

“Online programs have become increasingly competitive,” said Dean Anastasia Morrone. “This year’s ranking demonstrates the recognition that our peers have for the work that we do—offering high quality, engaging courses taught by experienced and respected faculty.”

IST faculty are dedicated to offering innovative and rigorous experiences designed to prepare instructional designers to create a wide range of options and possibilities. Especially during this time of quick-moving instructional needs, now, more than ever, we need high quality instructional designers that can work to improve human learning and performance in diverse contexts.
