About Me

I am a Visiting Professor of Early Childhood Education in Curriculum & Instruction at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. Prior to this, I was a researcher at University of Miami and University of South Florida. I earned my Masters in Educational Leadership from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada and my Ph.D. in Education at George Mason University where I also taught in the Elementary Education Program. Currently, my primary research and teaching interests involve early childhood education, educational technology, and teacher education. I am passionate about preparing educators to provide safe and well-designed 21st century opportunities in early childhood education that foster innovative thinking and learning alongside socio-emotional development. This focus extends to understanding the role of teacher well-being and satisfaction in shaping effective educational environments. I believe that by improving educational practices and integrating effective technologies, we can better support both educators and young learners, ultimately fostering more equitable and effective educational outcomes.
