About Me

I am Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Indiana University. I hold an Ed.D. and BS from Indiana University, Bloomington and a MS from Purdue University, West Lafayette.

The top priority for my teaching assignment is to provide learning opportunities in the principal and superintendent licensure courses that connect practice at the school and district site with the most reliable research in curriculum & instruction, administrative leadership and human motivation.

Prior to my coming to Indiana University, I served in the K12 system for over 35 years. My career in education began with a high school teaching assignment with special education students that was followed by a number of building and district level assignments, national consulting work and concluded with 16 years in the position of superintendent.

I joined Indiana University in 2008; I coordinate the licensure programs for the Building Level Leadership and District Level Leadership licenses.

In addition to my teaching responsibilities at Indiana University, I serve as the executive director for the Indiana University/Indiana Public School Partnershare and executive secretary for the Indiana University Administrative Alumni Association (IUSAA).
