At the Annual Meeting of the International Society of the Learning Sciences this past June, two IU School of Education researchers were honored.
Joshua Danish, Professor and Barbara B. Jacobs Chair in Education and Technology, was inaugurated as a fellow of the society, an honor that recognizes those who have made major contributions to the field of learning sciences. Fellows are each highly accomplished scholars and community members who will continue to serve in critical roles for the society in the future through their continued leadership and mentorship activities.
Learning sciences graduate student Zach Ryan won Outstanding Long Paper for “Playful frameworks of research: play and its potential in researching learning alongside youth.”
The International Society of the Learning Sciences is dedicated to the empirical investigation of learning as it exists in real-world settings and to how learning may be facilitated both with and without technology.
