A new installation has gone up in the Atrium of the Wright Education Building, bringing even better technological capabilities to the IU School of Education community.
The IQ-Wall, installed on the west end of the Atrium where the former cafe was located, is a large format, ultra-high resolution, tiled video display system developed by the UITS Advanced Visualization Lab.
According to Eric Wernert, Director of Visual and Data Labs at the Research Technologies + Pervasive Technologies Institute, anything a user can do with a computer or on the Web, they can do with an IQ-Wall, thanks to the large size and ultra-high resolution: “Students and faculty in the School of Education will especially benefit from the ability to share their work by creating digital exhibits for public viewing, thanks to the IQ-Wall’s location; to deliver more impactful presentations and immersive experiences, thanks to its bright displays and curved configuration; and to create more opportunities for teamwork and collaboration, thanks to its size, resolution, and variety of input sources.”
