His experience as a high school teacher in southern Illinois was only the beginning. Justin earned his Ph.D. in Education Policy and became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership Studies at the University of Kentucky. He also serves as the Director of the UCEA Center for the Advanced Study of Technology Leadership in Education (CASTLE). He focuses on the underlying code of education and the changes necessitated by the digital, global age. This work looks at the intersections of education, law, and technology and translates research into specific actions for local learning communities. Justin has legal and educational experience at the local, state, national, and international levels. He holds a J.D. from Southern Illinois University and a Ph.D. in Education Policy from Indiana University. His interests are legal issues in education, education policy, education technology, educational infrastructure issues and educational leadership preparation. He also shares his observations and insights about educational issues as a writer/editor at The Edjurists.
