Why did you choose to attend IU Bloomington?
I chose to attend IU Bloomington due to the amazing faculty in Science Education that were welcoming and their ability to conduct cutting edge research within the field. In choosing IU Bloomington the opportunities that I am being provided are assisting me towards reaching my professional and graduate degree aspirations.

What should prospective students know about your IU School of Education graduate program?
The department of Science Education is quite friendly and supportive towards students' research interests. It's a community of learners that work together towards thinking critically and globally about science education issues. As a student both faculty and future colleagues are always willing to help each other and assist whenever they can.  

What has been your favorite academic accomplishment since starting your IU Bloomington program?
My favorite academic accomplishment is working on a research team that examines teachers' use of representations for science in rural elementary classroom settings. As part of this team I was able to enter classrooms and conduct coaching sessions with the teachers. Each coaching session invigorated my passion towards science education and conducting research.

What is the best thing about life in Bloomington?
The best thing about living in Bloomington is access to amazing walking trails located throughout the city. These trails are a hidden gem that allows you to connect with nature and stay physically fit.
