The Virtual Teaching Simulator is part of the collaborative project titled, Online Practice Suite (OPS): Practice Spaces, Simulations and Virtual Reality Environments for Preservice Teachers to Learn to Facilitate Argumentation Discussions in Mathematics and Science [National Science Foundation, Grant 2037983]. The VTS team consists of faculty members Dr. Meredith Park Rogers and Dr. Adam Maltese from IUB, and Dr. Dionne Cross Francis from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The OPS team consists of collaborators from Education Testing Service (ETS), Towson University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).  The 2022-2023 academic year was the third year of the OPS project. During this year, the VTS team specifically worked on analyzing data from the main elementary study that took place during Spring 2022 semester. From this analysis, four presentations at national and international science and mathematics conferences were given by the VTS investigators and their graduate students. From these presentations and from these, there are currently two major papers in progress for publication. Moving into the fourth and final year of the OPS project, our team is beginning to put forward proposals to extend the development of VTS, as well as continuing with the analysis and writing of two major OPS team papers.
