Undergraduate License Addition

Help students understand and appreciate the importance of communication. The Journalism license can be added to a Secondary License and provides the preparation necessary to teach journalism and mass communication. You will also be qualified to supervise student media publications at the secondary level. The Journalism License Addition is designed for teacher candidates who are in the process of completing an initial license in a recognized secondary Teacher Education Program.

This program requires the completion of 29 credits beyond those required for the initial Teacher Education Program. It may not be possible to complete this license addition as part of the four year undergraduate degree program. A graduate option is available.
