Overseas Program for Experienced Teachers

Teaching placements are typically made on the North Island, in and around Auckland, with limited placements available near Ohope Beach. Occasionally, placements may also be made on the South Island (e.g. Queenstown). Placement sites vary greatly in terms of being rural/urban, culturally homogeneous/multi-ethnic and of high/low socioeconomic levels. Some placements can be in Maori/Pacific Island dominant communities, or where there are large immigrant populations. Teachers typically live in homestay accommodations.
