Teaching placements may be made in New Delhi, Bangalore, and in the province of Punjab (mainly in the cities of Jalandhar, Amritsar, Ludhiana). Teachers typically live in homestay accommodations or hostel facilities on the school campus.

Teachers may teach a variety of subjects and grade levels. Because English is one of India’s national languages, in most cases you will teach in your own licensing area. Further, it may be possible to fulfill practicum requirements in India for the ESL/ENL license addition. Others may be possible as well, depending on the placement/license.
Proficiency in Hindi and/or other local languages is not required, but participants are encouraged to learn basic words and phrases before they leave for their placement.
