Teaching placements are made in and around Atenas, a small town located 26 miles west of San Jose. Teachers typically live in homestay accommodations.

Teaching Responsibilities
Most teachers will teach conversational and written English, but you may also teach specific subjects using English as the medium of instruction. Further, it may be possible to fulfill practicum requirements in Costa Rica for the ESL/ENL license addition.
Other Considerations
A basic level of proficiency in Spanish is required. Participation is not limited to students pursuing the ESL/ENL license addition.
