Professor Jessica Lester was recently elected to a three-year term as Vice-President of Division D - Measurement & Research Methodologies for the American Educational Research Association.
Under the leadership of a division vice-president, each division is responsible for participating in the open call for submissions and planning division-sponsored sessions for the Annual Meeting, sponsoring graduate student seminars and mentoring activities for emerging scholars and junior faculty members and facilitating ongoing communications among division members through listserv and social media throughout the year.
Division D is focused on measurement, psychometrics and assessment; statistical theory and quantitative methodologies; qualitative methodologies; and multiple and mixed methodologies as applied to educational research.
The American Educational Research Association, founded in 1916, is a major national research organization broadly focused on education.
