Celebrating our graduates

Students from the School of Education’s undergraduate and graduate programs celebrated with their families last weekend at IU’s graduation ceremonies and the school’s Convocations.

Graduates come from several states around the nation and countries all over the world. They represent the very best of the future of the education world, with careers ranging from classroom teaching to educational research. In total, almost 400 undergraduate degrees and graduate degrees and certificates from a wide range of programs offered at the School of Education were conferred this weekend.

I always like to say you’re more than teachers: you’re leaders. You have the opportunity to change a child’s life.

“One of the things I am always excited about at the end of the year is to see the fruit of your labor. You start out on a journey and finally get to where you are. I always like to say you’re more than teachers: you’re leaders. You have the opportunity to change a child’s life,” Dean Lemuel Watson said during Convocation.

Students of our graduate programs were celebrated at a ceremony Friday, while undergraduates were lauded at two different Convocations on Saturday.

We are so proud of all our graduates. View photos from the Graduate Convocation, early afternoon Undergraduate Convocation and late afternoon Undergraduate Convocation on our Facebook page.
