About Me
Kamia F. Slaughter, Ph.D. is a researcher and expert in rural college access and student success efforts. She gleans from professional experiences as a K-12, pre-college, and postsecondary educator to inform her work. She has also worked in federal government and non-profit arenas to apply her research and inform policy and practice. Her research centers higher education practitioners who support rural students and communities, data practices that affect how rural students are served, and racialized student success practices that drive postsecondary education for rural students. Dr. Slaughter earned her Ph.D. in Administration of Higher Education from Auburn University.
