Professor Victor Borden has won the 2023 John Stecklein Distinguished Member Award from the Association for Institutional Research.

“This is an especially meaningful award to me, coming from the Association to which I have been involved with since early in my career (the late 1980s). I’m proud to have now won all three of their top awards, putting me in a very elite group. Reading the collection of nomination support letters from leaders in the field brought tears to my eyes and was perhaps the most significant validation I have ever experienced,” Borden said.

The John Stecklein Distinguished Member Award recognizes a member whose professional career has significantly advanced the field of institutional research through extraordinary scholarship, leadership and service.

Borden has been awarded the Outstanding Service (2011), Sydney Suslow Scholar Award (2020) and now Distinguished Member (2023) from AIR.
