 | Dr. Rex Stockton Chancellor's Professor, Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology; Affiliate Faculty, African Studies Program, Indiana University - Bloomington Rex Stockton has had a long career as a counseling psychologist and counselor educator, and has held a wide variety of academic, administrative, and professional responsibilities. He has directed and/or participated at a senior level in a series of research and development studies designed to investigate various aspects of counseling, with a particular emphasis on group work. Dr. Stockton has provided training and consultation at the state, national, and international level, which has led to his most current interest in the research and training activities of the I-CARE project, which he co-founded. The recipient of several major research and teaching awards for his activities, he been awarded fellow status in the American Counseling Association and the American Psychological Association. Dr. Stockton has also been president of divisions of each organization, and has held other high-level offices in several organizations. |

 | Dr. Keith Morran Professor, Department of Counseling and Counselor Education Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis Dr. Morran has been involved with research on small counseling group processes and outcomes throughout his career. A major focus of this research has been concerned with how group members can more effectively exchange and benefit from, interpersonal feedback. He has also had a long-term research interest in counselor cognitive processes and how individual and group counselors guide their helping efforts through effective self-talk. |
 | Dr. Michael Reece Associate Professor, the Center for Sexual Health Promotion Director, Department of Applied Health Science, and Affiliate Member of African Studies Program, Indiana University - Bloomington Dr. Reece shares Dr. Stockton's interest in preventing and ameliorating the effects of HIV/Aids. They have worked together in Africa. Some of Dr. Reece's students also serve of members of the I-CARE research team. Dr. Reece's research is focused on sexual health in both domestic and international settings and is conducted under the auspices of his research team, the Center for Sexual Health Promotion.  | Dr. Amy Nitza Assistant Professor & Coordinator of School Counselor Education Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne Dr. Nitza completed a year-long Fulbright Scholarship in Botswana during the 2008-2009 academic year. Her primary research interest is the use of group counseling interventions with adolescents both in the United States and in Africa. She directed and produced a training DVD Leading Groups with Adolescents, and has authored several journal articles and book chapters on the topic. While on her Fulbright year in Botswana, Dr. Nitza worked with a group of graduate students to develop and implement a group counseling intervention for at-risk adolescent girls. This intervention is now being used as a model for further I-CARE work in this area. An article describing the intervention was published in the June 2010 issue of the Journal for Specialists in Group Work. |

 | Dr. Mercy Montsi Retired Associate Professor and Department Chair, University of Botswana Dr. Montsi was the first woman to be added to the faculty at the University of Botswana. She received her Ph.D. from the Univerity of Massachusetts under the direction of Allen Ivey. She has served in a leadership role at the University for a number of years. She has been very helpful to I-CARE as Chair of the Department. She is currently battling cancer. |
 | Dr. Dan-Bush Bhusumane Lecturer, Counselor Education Section Department of Educational Foundations University of Botswana Dr. Bhusumane, a graduate of Duquesne University, is a former Head of the Counseling and Guidance section in the Botswana Ministry of Education. He is widely known as a Consultant to Counseling Programs throughout Subharan Africa. He also has consulted with a variety of international organizations concerning counseling. |
