Visiting the School

Meet our staff, learn about our programs, see a class, and explore career opportunities for graduates. If you're considering a degree from the IU School of Education, we welcome you to come meet us in person.

Group Information Sessions

During September, October, and November, and again in March and April, we hold near-daily group information sessions for prospective students and their families.

We'll give you an overview of our programs and majors. You'll learn about our opportunities for student teaching, from early field experiences and cultural immersion projects to the typical semester-long student teaching engagement. We’ll also discuss the admissions process and career services for education majors. Whenever possible, we also invite a current student to answer questions and give you a tour of the building.

You can schedule your information session through the Office of Admissions when you plan your campus visit.

Individual Meetings

If you can't make it to campus for one of our group information sessions, or if you have a lot of questions and prefer a more personal visit, we're glad to schedule an individual meeting with you and your family.

If you can, we recommend that you visit during the academic year when classes are in session. This will give you a much better picture of what it's like to study at Indiana University. But we’re glad to talk with you any time.
