Over the summer, high school students stayed on the IU Bloomington campus for the Factor Future Educator Program, a one-week summer immersion experience. These students, all about to enter their senior year, were introduced to what IU and the IU School of Education had to offer through mini-workshops, campus tours, and college readiness sessions.
During the day, attendees heard lectures from current School of Education faculty and staff on topics such as the academics of becoming an elementary school teacher, globalizing K-12 education, and study abroad experiences for educators. They also learned about how IU supports students with presentations on financial wellness and a basic overview of the admissions process to IU.
