Associate Professor Kyungbin Kwon has been appointed Director of the Center for Research on Learning and Technology (CRLT) in the IU School of Education, effective July 1. After serving as Interim Director since March, Kwon will continue in this role and help advance the center’s mission of fostering innovative research and practice at the intersection of learning and technology.

Kwon’s scholarship focuses on how emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and semiconductor science, can support teaching and learning across educational settings. Through his work with K–12 schools, teachers, and students, he has developed extensive experience leading collaborative research projects, building partnerships, and translating research into practical educational applications.
