Despite working full-time as an assistant director of development at the Indiana University School of Education and pursuing a Master of Public Affairs at the #1-ranked O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Shayla George still finds time to make an impact beyond campus. A dedicated advocate and community leader, she serves on the City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Women and as a board member for United Way of South Central Indiana. And, in recognition of her exceptional leadership and service, George was one of this year’s 500 Festival Princesses in this year’s Indianapolis 500.
