Convocation

We are pleased and proud to welcome the families and friends of our graduates at our May Convocation.

This ceremony gives you the opportunity to visit with other graduates and their families, as well as faculty and staff. Light refreshments will be available on the balcony prior to each ceremony.

This spring's event will be split into two days to accommodate our large number of graduates:


Friday, May 3 - Graduate Students

  • 6:00 p.m. – Master's, Ed.S., Ed.D. and Ph.D. students
    Light refreshments will be available on the balcony beginning at 5:15 p.m.

Saturday, May 4 - Undergraduate Students

  • 12:45 p.m. – Early Childhood, Secondary, Special Ed- Secondary, World Languages, and Visual Arts students
    Light refreshments will be available on the balcony beginning at noon
  • 3:00 p.m. – Elementary and Special Ed-Elementary (TAL) students
    Light refreshments will be available on the balcony beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Parking is available in the Jordan Garage. For your convenience and the comfort of your guests, the wheelchair accessible drop off point is located at the Rose Avenue circle drive. A limited number of handicap parking spaces are available near the Rose Avenue entrance, just south of the Rose Avenue circle.

We prefer that all graduates register and indicate the number of guests expected, but we will not turn anyone away should you somehow forget. You can register here.

Seating is limited, so we ask that each student please bring no more than four guests.

If you are able to wear your cap and gown, we recommend it as you will be on stage, but if you have returned them, or don’t have them, casual business attire is appreciated.

Yes. Those who are unable to attend in person can view a live stream of the event. The video will also be archived for viewing afterwards.
