Voice-over actors needed!

We’re looking for IU undergraduate students to provide voice-over for multiple elementary student (ages 9-11) characters for avatars as part of a virtual reality classroom teaching study.

Training will begin in November. Acting sessions will take place during the Spring 2022 semester. Scheduling is flexible.

$10.15/hour (up to 10 hours a week during peak implementation).

Deadline to submit your audition link is Saturday, October 31.

Auditions

To be considered for one of these positions, please provide the following:

  1. Use the Vocaroo app to record your audition.
  2. Record the following lines, each voiced as a different child character (age 9-11) might speak
    1. “You know, ahmmm, we can say 7/9 is in between if it is bigger than 2/3 and littler than 7/8. Ahmmm . . . , I mean that ummm 2/3 is in between if it is greater than 2/3 and smaller than 7/8. James and I started with 7/8 and &frac79;. The denominator is the number of pieces, which are . . . ummm.”
    2. “So then we wrote down the other fractions like that, 3/4, 4/5, 5/6, 6/7, 8/9, and 9/10;. Then we checked them on the fraction number-lines poster to see if they were between 2/3 and 7/8.”
    3. “We put 7 cups of water in the pitcher. Ummm . . . we then put 9 ice cubes in that we made from one cup of water. When the 1 cup melted it . . . ahhh . . . it added more water, so now we have more fruit punch.”
