About Me

Colleen Pawlicki is the Associate Instructor for the Urban and Navajo Program in Global Gateway for Teachers. She is also a PhD student in Education Policy Studies with a concentration in Educational Leadership. Prior to coming to IU, Colleen was a high school English teacher on the southside of Chicago in Chicago Public Schools. A large portion of Colleen's research has been Chicago-focused, including a deep dive into CPS’ Local School Councils, as well as policy briefs and recommendations for Chicago’s Board of Education and student codes of conduct. Her dissertation focuses on the representation of women in leadership theory textbooks.
