About Me

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Literacy, Culture, and Language Education department. Before coming to Bloomington I was a Night High School English teacher in the western-rural part of Costa Rica for 12 years. I then started working for the University of Costa Rica, where I currently hold a position as an EFL educator. Currently, my research involves adult education for women, informal education, funds of knowledge, and feminism pedagogy. At IU, I worked as an AI for the Student Academic for 2 years teaching the course "Culture of College."
