About Me

I am a graduate student in the IU School of Education pursuing an MSEd in International and Comparative Education. I also hold an MA in Anthropology of Travel and Tourism from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Before coming to IU, I worked for Purdue University’s College of Liberal Arts as the Study Abroad Specialist for over 3 years. Outside of school, I am a member of Okinawa Yuyukai, an Indianapolis based dance group that performs Eisa (a type of Okinawan drum dance). I also spend quite a lot of time spoiling my cat and travel as much as possible. I’m excited to be a part of Global Gateway for Teachers and share my own experiences teaching English abroad in Japan and helping students navigate their own life-changing teaching experiences abroad!
