Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction – Specialization in Science Education (Residential or Online)
Science educators who have a master’s degree can continue building their skills and knowledge through this program.
Designed to train practitioners, this 60-credit hour program offers you the opportunity to apply research-based theories to practical settings related to teacher training and young learner’s concepts of science, among other topics.
You’ll also have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in your chosen content area through advanced science coursework.
At the completion of your coursework and before you begin your dissertation, you will need to pass a qualifying exam, in the form of portfolio of work and an oral examination.

The Graduate Studies Office will accept unofficial transcripts and self-reported test scores for admission reviews. Any admission made with these documents would be conditioned on receipt of official documents, which should be provided as soon as possible.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 out of 4.00

GRE scores are required only if applicant does not have a degree from an accredited U.S. institution
Minimum 79 TOEFL score or minimum 6.5 IELTS score or minimum 115 Duolingo score (international students only)
