• Internet Resources for African American Music, from the Archives of African American Music and Culture at Indiana University. Again, inactive at the present time, but keep it mind. For now, try the African American Sources on Internet page for some incredible links.
• Britannica Guide to Black History - Begin your examination of black history today! The site has 400 years of African-American history spanning across five distinct periods of time. The site offers music, speeches, and video presentations in addition to primary sources and secondary information. A definitive reference site. Lesson plans that involve examining a topic of history over time could easily draw upon this site. Provides some good interactive options.

• Ken Burns' "New Perspectives on the West" Another multimedia contribution by Ken Burns and family. Sponsored by PBS and General Motors, the site provides a plethora of information on people, events, photos, art, and primary sources from West-- many of the perspectives are from individuals who are usually overlooked by traditional historians. Not stuck in the nineteenth century, Burns' spans across time to illustrate the diversity of western America. The presentation and the interactive options of the site will hook students and teachers alike.
