I am Alan Oliveira, a doctoral student in the Curriculum and Instruction Department. I am currently working on my PhD in Science Education. I am from Brazil where I completed a B.S. in chemistry at the Universidade Federal de Goiás, in the city of Goiânia. I also completed a Master's degree in Science Education at Southeast Missouri University. The two major interests of my professional life have been science and teaching, and it has been great to be able to combine both in a single program here at IU. I think anyone sharing similar interests should definitely consider IU for all the educational resources and opportunities constantly offered to students here. I would be glad to hear from you, and I am available to answer any questions you may have about the university. Languages constitute another interest of mine, and so far I managed to learn English and Spanish, in addition to my native language Portuguese. Feel free to write to me in any of those languages since it will give me a good opportunity to practice them.
