The 2015 Balfour Pre-College Academy is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, July 12 through Friday, July 17.  Transporation is provided from select IU regional campuses depending on student representation from that region.  Previous pick-up locations included IUPUI-Indianapolis, IU-Northwest, IPFW-Fort Wayne, and IU-South Bend campuses. 

Eligibility Requirements

  • High School Junior
  • Enrolled in a college preparatory curriculum ( Core 40 Diploma or Core 40 with Academic Honors Diploma in Indiana)
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

In the High School Information section, we request the email address of a counselor/teacher/community advocate willing to provide a letter of recommendation and a copy of your transcript. Using the email provided, we will directly contact your counselor/teacher/community advocate for the reference.

Please be advised that you should submit your Pre-College Academy application only after all four sections have been completed. The system does not allow for you to exit and re-enter a partially completed application, nor to periodically save. It may be helpful to write your essays in a word document and then use the Copy and Paste function to import responses to the on-line application.

Since our primary means of corresponding with you is via email, please ensure that all of the email addresses you supply in the online application are correct.
