The Department of Literacy, Culture, and Language Education teaches current and future teachers how to teach and research in the areas of English Education, Foreign and Second Language Education, and Literacy/Reading Education. - Dr. Donna Adomat, Assistant Professor in the Department of Literacy, Culture and Language Education, has recently received a prestigious three month fellowship from the International Youth Library in Munich. In the world of children's literature, this is an extremely prestigious award, as well as a fantastic opportunity.

- Books & Beyond Project
- Books & Beyond is a cross-cultural literacy exchange for students and teachers from Indiana University’s Global Village Living-Learning Center (Bloomington, IN), TEAM Schools (Newark, NJ), and the Kabwende Primary Center (KPC) (Kinigi, Rwanda).
