Program emphasis goals
The WLPI program emphasis consists of coursework and integrated learning experiences for professionals. It is designed for professionals who seek to improve individual, team, and organizational effectiveness. These improvements occur through learning and performance improvement interventions.
Students can choose among a set of blended learning approaches. These include face-to-face and distance instruction, action learning, and learning through service and involvement in the professions.
The WLPI program emphasis is designed to meet the professional development needs of beginning or mid-level professionals who are unable to attend traditional full-time residential programs.
Indiana University does not make a distinction between online and residential courses. Neither the courses nor the degree or certificate are identified as being at a distance on your Indiana University transcript
How to apply
You must apply online to the School of Education. We are taking applications now for Fall, 2009. You can apply to the Distance Certificate program or the Distance Master's program in IST. Further details will be forthcoming, but we will offer initial distance courses in the WLPI emphasis in the fall semester, 2009.
