Time to Completion

Below is information regarding the mean and median number of years that students have taken to complete the program from the time of program entrance. These data are provided for all graduates over the past seven years. Where applicable, these measures are provided separately for students who began the program as bachelor level graduates and those who began with advanced standing (e.g., after having completed a separate master's program in psychology or counseling). Also provided are the percentages of students completing the program in fewer than five years, six years, seven years, and more than seven years.

The following table indicates the time to completion of degree, for students admitted with a bachelor’s degree, then a master’s degree.

Since September 2005, our program has graduated 48 students. The mean and median times in years of completion for these graduates are listed (these statistics include the one year of predoctoral internship) are provided below. Note: Students who took longer than seven years to defend their dissertation were required to re-validate their course work.
