ABOUT ME

I was a secondary level mathematics teacher in Jamaica and the United States prior to completing my doctoral degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Georgia. My research interests involve both mathematics teacher professional development and student learning. Specifically, it involves designing environments that incorporate stategies that are both cognitively- and socially-oriented to improve mathematical understanding and achievement. Additonally, I investigate the psychological constructs that influence teachers' instructional practices.
