School of Education

I-CARE (The International Counseling, Advocacy, Research & Education) is led by Dr. Rex Stockton, chancellor’s professor and Counseling Psychology Program training director. I-CARE offers undergraduate and graduate students in the IU School of Education an opportunity to get involved in fundraising and research projects to help the people of sub-Saharan Africa. I-CARE has been successful in achieving the following:

• Increasing access to new and effective medicines
• Developing counseling programs to help individuals, families, communities, and governments with social problems caused by HIV/AIDS
• Providing group counseling for disadvantaged young women
